Hello! I’m Jennifer. I’m a Washington, D.C.-based writer and editor specializing in parenting, children’s, and educational topics. My work has appeared in All You, Fit Pregnancy, the Los Angeles Times, Parenting, and TIME For Kids; as well as on babygizmo.com, care.com, and readersdigest.com. I am also a children’s book author for Red Chair Press and a regular contributor to Scholastic News Online and Scholastic classroom magazines. My husband, Keith, is a lieutenant colonel in the U.S. Army.
Since meeting in 2005, Keith and I have lived and worked in New York City, Northern California, New Jersey, Colorado, and Southern California before moving to Northern Virginia in October 2014. Our twin boys were born in June 2011 on Father’s Day, and our lives have been full of adventure (and mischief) ever since! Our daughter arrived in September 2014.
Double Duty Twins (Plus One!) follows the joys, triumphs, and challenges we face as a military family raising three small children. I also write about pregnancy and parenting topics, including those relevant to military families and families with multiples. I share hard-won tips and advice, product and travel reviews, ideas for family fun, and more.
As moms and dads, we pull “double duty” in so many aspects of our lives: working and parenting, meeting the needs of our spouses and our kids, caring for our families while maintaining our own identities. It’s the hardest job in the world, and I’m here to help!
